$ How Much Does It Cost $
How much does it cost to get a home inspection?
This typically is the most frequently asked question for a home inspector and as an easy short answer... it depends on the structure. My first advice to any and all home owners, or buyers, is not to get the "cheapest" inspection you can find. The rule of "you get what you pay for" certainly applies for inspection services and their providers. There are many names in the market that push low cost, fast and basic inspection reports and work under the minimum Florida state standards.
We at Trade Secrets Inspections value both your time and money, while putting safety at the top as well. We price all our services very competively with those in our local market so you can be assured you will not over pay with TSI. You will, however, get personal service with professional and expert inspecting and reporting as if you were a family member yourself.
In general most structures can be inspected for under $1000. When considering spending 200K+ on a home, spending less than 1% of that to protect you, your family and your money should not be seen as excessive. It is far more important to look at WHO is doing the inspecting and what are their operating standards, and what people are saying of them (reviews).
We at Trade Secrets Inspection follow the Florida Association of Building Inspectors (FABI) standards. FABI has the most specific and inclusive oversight and training standards. You can be assured if you are working with FABI inspecting company you are well on your way to getting the most for your dollars.
